β What Youβll Need
A GPX system (video encoder + modem, fully activated)
The YouTube stream link (provided by GPX)
π Plug In and Go Live
Power on the GPX system in the car and make sure the stream is Live in GPX Dash.
Wait 10β30 seconds for the system to connect and start sending video to YouTube.
Thatβs it β your live stream is already broadcasting.
Share your GPX-provided YouTube link with friends, family and fans.
π οΈ How It Works
Standard YouTube streams by GPX Stream use a proprietary system that ensures:
A single, permanent link
No need to manage stream keys or YouTube accounts
The stream will say "Offline" when the car is powered off, but the link remains active
You may see a short 5 second clip every 30 minutes - if your device is not already live. This clip is used to keep YouTube from closing the stream when your device is not actively streaming.
π Troubleshooting
Issue | Fix |
---|---|
Stream says βOfflineβ | Car is likely off or out of coverage β power on, confirm your video is live in GPX Dash, and wait 30 seconds. You may need to refresh the YouTube page. |
Unexpected stream drop | Cellular signals can vary in different parts of the track. When faced with poor network signal, streams may occasionally drop or stutter. |
